Not at all. Despite our name, anyone can book with us. While we started out hosting students looking for more space and flexibility than traditional accommodation, today we host a wide mix of guests - business travellers, relocating professionals, families, corporate clients and medical stays. Anyone seeking a high-quality, fully-managed Chicago apartment for 1 month or longer is welcome to enquire.

All bills are included in our rates - utilities, Wi-Fi, weekly housekeeping and linen are all covered in one monthly price. There are no hidden extras. Our rates are inclusive of all city taxes.

It really depends on the size, amenities and location of the apartment. While studio apartments start from $5,000 per month, larger apartments in prime Downtown Chicago neighbourhoods can command significantly higher rates. Let us know what your budget is, and we'll guide you through your best options.

Our standard minimum stay is 30 nights. Our average length of stay is between 3 and 9 months.

Our Chicago apartments are concentrated across Downtown Chicago - including River North, Streeterville, the Gold Coast, the Loop and Lincoln Park. These neighbourhoods offer easy access to the city's business districts, top universities (including University of Chicago, Northwestern and DePaul), and Chicago's best dining, shopping and cultural attractions.

Yes - corporate stays are a significant part of our Chicago bookings. Whether it's a single executive on a project assignment, a relocating employee or a wider team, we can accommodate one-off and ongoing corporate requirements. We invoice directly, can work with travel managers and TMCs, and our team is experienced in handling complex corporate booking processes.

Yes - many of our Chicago bookings are made by parents. Select Parent or guardian as your purpose of stay when enquiring and our team will guide you through the process. We do not require a US co-signer, proof of income, or credit checks - and payments can be split into up to four instalments.

Yes. All Student Luxe apartments come fully furnished with hotel-standard bedding and linen, fully-equipped kitchens with pots, pans, cutlery and glassware, and everything you need to move straight in. Just bring yourself.

Yes. Weekly housekeeping is included with every Student Luxe stay, covering cleaning, fresh linen for the bedroom and fresh towels and toiletries for the bathroom. At some of our most high-end residences, it is every 2-3 days.

If you cancel less than 30 days before your check-in date, the first 90 days of the reservation will be charged. If you cancel after checking in, the break clause applies from the 90th night onwards - up to 28 nights' rent may be chargeable. If you're unsure, just ask us and we'll walk you through it. Building-specific cancellation policies may apply - we will always guide you through this and discuss your options.

Some apartments require a security deposit and some do not - this will be confirmed during your conversations with our reservations team. Where a deposit is required, it is managed by an independent third party (usually an independent escrow service).
