Living in Marylebone.
One of central London's most refined and walkable neighbourhoods — a village within the city of Georgian townhouses, garden squares and independent boutiques, set between Regent's Park, Oxford Street and Hyde Park. Cosmopolitan yet calm, it's long been a favourite with professionals, families and discerning long-stay guests who want central London on their doorstep.
Marylebone suits those who want the energy of central London without the noise of the West End. It's a favourite with relocating professionals, expats and families drawn to its village feel, independent shops and proximity to Regent's Park.
If you value walkability, neighbourhood restaurants and being moments from Oxford Street, Hyde Park and the West End, Marylebone is hard to beat.
At its heart sits Marylebone High Street, a Georgian thoroughfare lined with independent boutiques, neighbourhood restaurants and Daunt Books — one of London's most beloved independent bookshops.
Nearby are Regent's Park, the Wallace Collection and Chiltern Street, while Oxford Street, Selfridges, Hyde Park and the Wigmore Hall are all within easy walking distance.
Start with breakfast on Marylebone High Street or coffee on Chiltern Street, then browse Daunt Books and the boutiques before lunch at one of the neighbourhood's many restaurants.
Afternoons are made for Regent's Park and the rose garden, an exhibition at the Wallace Collection, or a wander through Selfridges and Bond Street. Evenings range from candlelit dining rooms to concerts at the Wigmore Hall.
Marylebone is one of the best-connected neighbourhoods in London. Bond Street (Elizabeth Line, Central and Jubilee), Baker Street and Marylebone stations are all within a short walk, with Oxford Circus and Regent's Park nearby.
The City is around 15 minutes away on the Elizabeth Line, the West End is on your doorstep, and Heathrow is a direct run from Bond Street or Paddington — both within easy reach.
